Alternative to the SubComm system, we offer the Pressure Testing and Logging Unit (PTLU). The PTLU is a compact and effective subsea pumping system that can perform operations with lower volume requirements.

Operational flexibility through modular design

The PTLU is a standalone pumping, pressure testing and logging unit based on the same operating principle as the PCU, but with a larger reservoir capacity. The unit is equipped with two 1100L reservoirs.

The PTLU is operated by ROV through hydraulic and communication hot stabs. Pump and valve functions are controlled through VJU software on a laptop, with logging of pressure, flow rate, and volume. When operated on battery power, operational data may be logged during operation and retrieved when equipment is returned to deck. The unit may be configured with different pumps and instrumentation according to operational requirements.

The system is compatible with a wide range of fluids. Fluid compatibility can be assessed on request.

Typical operations

  • Barrier verification
  • Pressure/leak testing
  • Fluid extraction and transfer
  • Well barrier pumping

Features

  • Real-time logging via ROV power, or standalone logging by battery power.
  • Logging of pressure, flow rate, and volume.
  • Integrated seawater intake through strainer
  • Reservoir capacity for chemical additives
  • 3000 m working depth

Advantages

  • Streamlined equipment: Replaces bulky, conventional deck equipment.
  • Enhanced Flexibility: Supports adaptable scheduling across multiple vessels.
  • Quick Mobilization: Reduces mobilization time from days to hours.
  • Space-Saving Design: Minimal deck footprint.
  • Safe Operations: Minimal high-pressure risks on deck.
  • Clean and Secure: Eliminates potential for backflow to deck.
